House Groups

Untitled design (15)

Church house groups are a brilliant way to enjoy church life together. They’re where smaller groups of people meet together mid-week in someone’s home to catch up, share life, study the Bible, pray and enjoy fellowship.

The Christian church has always met in homes to eat together and study the Bible (Acts 2:42-46). A healthy church puts on a variety of meetings and homes create a totally different atmosphere for sharing than our bigger meetings. They also help us encourage each other (Hebrews 10:24-25) and carry each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

We are hoping to be able to start house groups again at Easter, at first over Zoom and later in person – if rules allow. The studies will generally follow what we learn on Sundays but we will be able to discuss passages in greater depth. It’s amazing what the Holy Spirit teaches church members when we’re learning similar things about the LORD at the same time. This really helps with wider fellowship in church life.

We are working now to finalise the timetable of House Groups and will let you have this information as soon as it's available.

Finally, if leading a group is something you have wondered is for you, please let your Elder at Park End Church know and we will explore this with you.
